Aged Oakwood Woman Dead

Mrs. Edward Leberge (sic) died at the home of her son, Joseph, in Oakwood on Tuesday last at the advanced age of 83. Her maiden name was Josephte Suprenault (sic) and she was a native of St. Remi, Quebec. In 1854 she was united in marriage to Edward Leberge at St. Martin (sic). The family were among the very early settlers of this county coming Oakwyod (sic) in 1879 where a homestead was secured. Mr. Leberge died fourteen years ago. Deceased was a devout member of the Roman Catholic church all of her long life and gained great comfort and consolation from its sacraments and teachings.

Seven children survive, John B., of Ft. McMurray, Alta.; Arthur of Forget, Sask.; Docite (sic), of East Grank Forks, Minn.; Joseph L., of Oakwood; Mrs. E. (sic) Sevigny and Mrs. O. Collette, of Oakwood and Mrs. E.(sic) Laroche, of Bowesmount.

The funeral was held Thursday morning from Sacred Heart Church at Oakwood, Rev. J.B. Forbes officiating. The interment was in the church cemetery there.
