Leon E. "Lefty" LaBarge, 79, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, June 18, in his home.
He was an investigator for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 31 years, retiring in 1983.
Born Sept. 25, 1920, in Northampton, Mass., he was a son of the late Wilfred and Anna Thouin LaBarge.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of Le-Hampton Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 35. His wife, the former Dorothy A. Johnson, died in 1989.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas W of Bath, Craig A. of Phoenixville, Pa. and Rocky J. of Fountain Hill; a brother, Ernest of Oxford, Miss.; a sister, Pauline Godin of Northampton, Mass; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A brother, Lionel, died in February.
Services will be held at 11 am. Thursday in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Call from 10 a.m. Thursday to time of services in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
