DEATH OF JOSEPH LABARGE

Feb. 24. -- Joseph LaBarge of Water street, Leeds, died at the Dickinson Hospital, Tuesday night after a short illness. Mr. LaBarge was born in Canada and lived there until he came to Leeds about eight years ago. Mr. LaBarge is survived by his wife, six sons, Odilon and Cyrus of Leeds, Berthu, Lunidal, Uderic, Romelus, all of Chicopee, three daughters, Bertha, Deloris, and Mrs. Joseph Tolpa, of Leeds, fours brothers, Louis, John, Samuel, and Anthony, and one sister, Mrs. Lena Perruian. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Catherine's church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Haydenville.

Mrs. Joseph Tolpa of Water street, daughter of Joseph LaBarge, who died Tuesday night, was removed to the Dickinson hospital yesterday morning. The LaBarge people have the sympathy of the people of Leeds.

 

[Note: Joseph LaBarge was the son of Joseph Laberge and Sophie Soucisse of Wotton, Quebec. "Samuel" LaBarge's real name was Arsenne. Lena's married name was misspelled here and should have been "Pellerin." - Craig LaBarge]
